Special terms and conditions regarding deposits and credit card pre-registration

These terms and conditions are special provisions that stipulate the handling of the security deposit (hereinafter referred to as the "deposit") required for safe transactions of high-value items and the securing of credit limits by credit card (hereinafter referred to as the "pre-approval" or "authorization") in the rental service "XIAOMA RENTAL" (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") operated by ASUBRAND Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company").

When you complete your order, you are deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions.

Article 1 (Implementation of Prior Approval)

  1. In renting high-value items, we We will pre-authorize the credit card of the service user up to the amount equivalent to the product's sales price or an amount separately determined by our company. We also accept cash deposits as an alternative to securing credit limits with a credit card. Cash deposits are accepted on the condition that you present identification documents during the face-to-face procedure, and will be accepted after confirmation by our staff.
  2. This process is not an actual charge, but a temporary hold on your credit limit for a certain period of time. If the repayment is successful, the authorization will be released and the cash deposit will be refunded in full.
  3. By placing an order or receiving a cash deposit on this service, you are deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions of this agreement.

Article 2 (Purpose of use of deposits and scope of appropriation)

  1. The credit facility or settlement or cash deposit may be applied to the following costs:
    1. Late fee (daily rate determined by our company x number of days overdue)
    2. Special handling fees (including personnel handling, external coordination, appraisal handling, etc.)
    3. Compensation for damages for the product (up to the selling price of the product)
    4. Administrative fees (re-delivery, re-inspection, re-packaging, record keeping, etc.)
  2. The above charges may be incurred immediately at our discretion without notice to users of the Service .

Article 3 (Handling of late returns)

  1. The user of this service is obligated to strictly adhere to the scheduled return date and to return the product in perfect condition.
  2. If you foresee a delay, please contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled return date.
  3. In the event of an unauthorised late return of 1-3 days, we may deduct or charge the following from your authorized credit limit:
    1. Additional rental fee for the number of days delayed
    2. A breach management fee equivalent to 10% of the deposit
  4. These may be carried out without further notice.

Article 4 (Unreturned or Unable to Contact for 3 Days or More)

  1. If the product is not returned within 3 days of the scheduled return date and there is no response to our contact, The Service User will be deemed to have abandoned the return and the following measures will be taken:
    1. Immediate claim for full security deposit
    2. The product will be considered as purchased and no further returns or refunds will be accepted.
    3. Where necessary, we may report your information to legal authorities or external credit regulators.

Article 5 (Deposit Management and Reapproval)

Credit card authorization management
  • Authorization credit limit management will be continuously monitored and managed by our system during the rental period.
  • If the return is confirmed as normal, we will proceed with the procedure to release the credit limit (note that the actual timing of the release will depend on the card company's processing).
  • In the unlikely event that the return is delayed, damaged, or there is a violation of these terms and conditions, Re-crediting or payment processing can be carried out without the need for any further operations by the user of this service.
Cash Deposit Management
  • The cash deposit will be kept securely by our management officer, who will check and record its condition throughout the rental period.
  • If the product is returned correctly, we will promptly refund the full amount upon presentation of identification and signing of the "Refund Confirmation Form".
  • In the event of late return, damage to the product, or violation of the terms and conditions, we reserve the right to deduct the applicable costs from the deposit and provide a refund without prior notice at our discretion.

Article 6 (Agreement matters)

The Service User agrees that, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, the Company may pre-authorize, re-authorize or process charges on the credit card as necessary, and shall not object to such.

Article 7 (Special Provisions Regarding Cash Deposits)

  1. If you wish to make a cash deposit, this will be done in person through our designated procedures.
  2. At that time, you will be required to present a government-issued photo ID (driver's license, My Number card, passport, etc.) to verify your identity.
  3. Receipt of your cash deposit is officially confirmed when our staff issues a "deposit receipt."
  4. Similarly, when requesting a refund, the refund will be made in exchange for your identification documents, and the procedure will be completed once you have signed the refund confirmation document .
